BUSINESS LINE DESCRIPTION
Through its Coolants Division, the Quimipac Group achieved leadership in the provision of coolant gas and special accessories for the following Ecuadorian markets: Commercial and Industrial Coolants, Stationary Air Conditioning, Mobile Air Conditioning, and Polyurethanes.
It is of public knowledge that the coolant industry is currently undergoing through profound changes. The mandatory replacement of traditional coolants which contain chlorine molecules (CFC and HCFC) must be replaced by last-generation coolants (Ecological HFC).
Traditional gas coolants contain chlorine which damages the ozone layer and provokes highly damaging effects on human beings and the environment. The Montreal Protocol established worldwide legislation that was ratified by Ecuadorian law through the MICIP (Ministry of International Commerce, Industrialization, Fishing, and Competitiveness), the law calls for the immediate phasing out and replacement of all coolant gas that damages the ozone layer.
